When starting the game my username and password is not remembered from the last time I logged in, even though the "Keep me logged in" checkbox was checked.

You mean the game folder in %homepath%\AppData ?
PS! For the record, my Windows user name has the "é" character in it. I've noticed that some programs (one recent one that comes to mind is Android Studio) struggle with storing data in AppData when %homepath% contains a non-asci character, like my username.

I´m not sure if long characters could change functionality of "keep me logged in" but I will investigate it closer.
