Description

When i launch the game (both with mods and vanilla) it loads up then immediately crashes with the exit code referenced in the title.

Validating the game files on steam did nothing. I have uploaded a copy of the crash report and troubleshooting report.

@ConnorTW, those report files are identical.

dxdiag.xml:

<Processor>Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5200U CPU @ 2.20GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.2GHz</Processor>

Your processor's base clock frequency is below the minimum stated on this page.

Try the below possible solutions one-by-one:

  • Try switching to and playing on the profiling or development game branch. After downloading new data verify the integrity of the game cache. Note that the development branch may contain large and frequent updates, and you will only be able to play online multiplayer on a limited number of test servers.

• profiling branch (special performance + profiling build - requires access code: CautionSpecialProfilingAndTestingBranchArma3), alternative download of needed binary possible from Dwarden's dropbox

If the issue persists after trying all of the above possible solutions then use the Arma 3 Launcher to prepare a new troubleshooting report and then upload the report to the feedback tracker for the developers to review.

Okay then, i've got 32 hours in the game so far, so i'm not sure why it's doing this now rather than when i first purchased the game.

I'll try those and will get back to you.

Thanks.

Hello,

It´s wierd. You have GeForce 940M GPU and your crash report shows DX11 error : Cannot create DX11 device : DXGI_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED. It means low video memory space.

try this:

  • wrong updated GPU drivers
  • low space in your video memory
  • custom graphic settings (high graphic game quality vs. your GPU)
  • discrepancies in the newest release GPU drivers

So, there is some solutions.

  • try to decrease your graphic quality (if you're using ultra set high or medium). It´s possible that your have no more space on your GPU.
  • reinstall your GPU drivers

You can try the last possible solution called All in One Runtimes tool.

  1. Download All in One Runtimes
  2. Tool will repair your Visual C++, Java SE, Adobe Flash Player, Adobe Shockwave Player, Silverlight, DirectX
  3. Restart computer
  4. Uninstall the tool
  5. Launch the game

Hope it will help you. Let me know.

Okay so firstly good news, it's up and running again.

My laptop for some reason uninstalled all of my NVIDIA Geforce drivers so i had to reinstall them from Geforce Experience.

I was playing on high graphics, but from now on will switch down to medium.

Thanks for the help!
