Please fix Please fix!! :(
A friend of mine is having problems launching DayZ..
A 1.5 week ago he all of the sudden got disconnected from the server and crashed to desktop. After this event it kept on crashing whenever he tries to start the game! The worse is that there is no error message, so I can't give you any more information than what I'm giving you right now!
I read on the Steam DayZ forums there are people who seem to be having the exact same problem (also recent topics). Any fix upcoming or is it related to Windows, BattlEye?
Please help! :(
Version Windows: 8.1 (64 bit)
Build: 6.3, build 9600
We tried the following:
- Clear DayZ folder in documents;
- Reset BattlEye folder in "Common Files" and checked Compatibility mode in DayZ_BE.exe in steamapps;
- Re-installed DayZ;
- Verified Game Cache;
- Checked Launch Options (it's empty);
- No recording programs on the background as Shadowplay or Plays.tv..
- Thought of Windows Restore too late, last known day it worked has been erased already!
--> Going to try to update to Windows 10, see if that helps!
Still not working :(
