Adapt scouting crash

Description

Every time I go to scouting from the base camps in the campaign I get a crash error.

I have not tried this on the survive campaign but I'm currently playing Adapt where this always happens.

Tried installing latest AMD drivers (16.10.2) and the previous version (16.10.1).
Reinstalled Visual Studio 2013 C++ runtimes (x86) & (x64).
Ran system sfc which found no issues
Ran integrity verify of game files, again no issues found

I am not using any modifications.

Go scouting from base camps.

Additional Information

If I keep reverting to base camp eventually I can get into the scouting mission, then it runs fine even if I leave the game and then load the scouting save point, but if I return to the base camp and try to go scouting again the crash re-occurs. If I try to load the current scouting save (made during the crash) it reverts back to the last save point in the previous mission / scouting before I had last returned to the base camp.
