Steam > right-click Arma 3 > Properties > Loal Files tab> Verify integrity of game cache

Okay, the mod that I'm using is the SOF WWII mod pack and everytime I try to launch with it, it says "Launcher has detected that Arma 3 was closed unusually and it gives me the exit code as 0x0000DEAD-

Try launching Arma 3 without the mod. If the game successfully launches without the mod then the mod may be the cause of the issue.

When you click "play" on Arma 3 in Steam the Arma 3 launcher will open. From there you can configure the mods, launch parameters, play the game, and more.
Running the executable would mean going to where Arma 3 is installed and double-clicking on the arma3.exe file to run the game.
Are you doing the former or the latter?
