@Nemesis_Ninja, could you upload a copy of your crash dump files for the developers to see?

You can get these files in two ways:

  1. Start the Arma 3 launcher then click OPTIONS then click "Prepare Arma 3 troubleshooting report...". Once the report is ready then you can save it and upload it by dragging and dropping the file into a comment or into your original post. If you have trouble uploading the files then try uploading to a file sharing service such as Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, Mega, et cetera and then link to it here.

OR

  1. Go to your \Arma 3\ folder in %userprofile%\AppData\Local\, archive (using 7-Zip or other program) the most recent arma3.rpt, arma3.bidmp and arma3.mdmp files, and then upload the archive as described above. You will need to show hidden files and folders.

does this help?

as I said, Im a bit of a Noob to computer sciance

Unfortunately no, that is only part of a RPT file. If you are not sure what to do when searching for the files, using the launcher to export the crashdump files will be the way to go.

Start Arma 3 via Steam > Launcher window should appear > in the upper right corner there's and OPTIONS button - click it > Roll down menu appears with a Prepare Arma 3 Troubleshooting Report option - click it > Wait for the launcher to prepare the files, once it's done click Save Report
This will create a ZIP file with the crash report someone on your PC (default should be Desktop) > Upload the file.

sorry i was gone for a while, i will try to get the full dump now...

it comes up with "Exception: No configured storage engine can store this file. see "Configuring file storage" in the documentation for information on configuring storage engines"

Hello,

it seems the file is too big or that daily file limit was already used.

If you are having trouble uploading it again, please use some free file sharing service (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.)

ok i will try dropbox......

Hello,

this error suggests a corrupt file.

First of all please try to verify integrity of your game cache via Steam.

Running a chkdsk might help, going through the Event Viewer - Windows Logs>Application might help you find out what exactly might be wrong.

I have found a similar ticket from past in which similar error was discussed and resolved. Unfortunately in case of this user, reinstalling the OS was a solution.

Running the chkdsk (chkdsk /f) on drive that Arma 3 is installed and on a drive where your OS is installed might also be a possibility.

Well, if you do not back up your stuff properly than yes. I would leave this option as a last resort in your case, if you are not sure on how to reinstall your OS properly (Windows in your case I would guess), it is better not to do it without assistance.

it works! thanks razazel for your help, hopefully i wont have to come back again. For future reference "verify integrity of your game cache via Steam" repaired the files accordingly. thanks again.

For future reference, verifying the integrity of the game cache is recommended in general, to rule out possibly corrupt game files.

Glad the solution was as trivial as that and that the error code was not that severe as the error code suggested :)
Hope you won't encounter any more problems :)
