Visual Issues at Blue Pearl Harbour
New, NormalPublic

Description

There are several visual issues at the Blue Pearl Harbour (circa 136123) along the waterfront where the large ship to shore container cranes are.

  1. For the rails which the ship to shore container run on:-

a) There are numerous changes / steps in the vertical level at the rail segment joints. This appears to be about 30mm between each segment.
b) The centreline of the northern most rail in the horizontal plane does not line up with the centreline of the other rails. The joint between the rails occurs near the wheels of the northern most crane and this issues is not obvious.

  1. The vertical level of the ship to shore cranes does not match the level of the rails. The base of the crane wheels should be at the top of the rail, but at the moment the top of the rail appears to align with the axle for the wheels.
  2. There are several ship to shore cranes with the boom inclined:-

a) For these cranes, the wires for luffing (that is raising the boom up and down) coming from the boom do not line up with the sheaves on the main crane structure. This is not really visible from the ground level - you need to use zeus or have the character walk up to the boom area.
b) For these cranes there are cables which presumably are used to transversely move the shuttle which houses the rigging assembly to directly lift the containers. These cables are notionally in the same line as the main boom members. For these cables in some cases the cables go through the crane box members (the level of the rope appears to vary for each crane) and the rope does not appear to go around the horizontal sheave on the main crane structure. This is only really visible using zeus - as a player you can't really get into a position to see this.
