I am in agreement with this situation. I have done rather larger amounts of testing and have notes in front of me about player and infected, and server performances.
This is not some god mode, this is not some Opps i constantly missed fired, this is exactly what i was experiencing on 1-30 or more servers. Desync, and constant render (whats in our views) vrs what is actually there.
Beav is correct, that should have hit him, so the desync is there on the one person but is not on the 2nd person.
The server is destabilizing on high pop to low pop. Felt is on high pop much worse, you start to warp back.
Seemed to be more of an issue these last 2 minor hotfixes.
I was not there, but i reviewed this video under gallery last night, and i watched it not once, but multi times. Almost to the point, i dont believe the player was actually there.
There was a time later in the video where the individual ran behind 2 final tree areas, almost like he was there and not at the place he thought he was at.
The 2nd player would have to confirm the exact same moment that he chased the person behind the trees, because he was being shot at all and all 3 players did not hit each other, until it lost one player.... the video hosting person from the scene then the attacker died.
This is the player to player or infected to player desync issues that need to be addressed more then anything so this project can move forward with the character animation engine.
Otherwise you are much better off staying in long range and snipe people from afar so you do not desync others.

I have been seeing the same with Infected, not just player pvp.
