Games freezes and performance problems
Reviewed, NormalPublic

Description

I have already tried out all improvement possibilities from the -cpuCount to the -world=empty.

If you want, i'll create a video and put it on YouTube and then you'll see, that this is unplayable.
I have the same problems in ArmA 2.

Other games like Battlefield 4 or an other game with a great graphic, there i haven't any problems.

Hello,

does the game eventually crash after the freeze? If so, could you please provide us with the crashdump files?

Thanks

No, it don't crash.

Hello,

thank you for the feedback.

Are you running any mods? If so please try to disable them first.

Next thing, I will need Arma 3 report files. To get those files, please go to the Launcher > Options> Prepare Arma3 troubleshooting report, thensave the ZIP file with the report somewhere where you can access it and upload it here.
Or you can look for the crashdumps manually. Crashdump (set of mdmp + rpt + bidmp with same timestamp, yours will be only rpt however) files should be located in this directory:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Arma 3

Once you have the files in a ZIP, please drag&drop them into the comment box, or (if you encounter any issue with uploading it here) upload them to some free file sharing service (for example Dropbox) and post the link to the files into the comments.

Thank you

I wait for an answer. Thank You.

Hello,

thank you for the crashdumps, much appreciated.

Now since you mentioned the FPS drops and your reports contain only one one crash report (generated with 1.60 version) I assume the FPS drops and low performance are more common than the crash. Since this report is a little bit older and you said you are waiting for a reply, I also assume update did not help much.

Fps drops are causing some trouble recently and to deal with this issue we need more info. For starters, new troubleshooting report generated with the latest version.
I would like to ask your for a specific info that you need to gather by following these few steps:

  • Switch to latest Arma 3 "profiling branch" - Steam Branches
  • Go into "Arma 3" directory in Steam and rename "arma3profiling.exe" to "arma3.exe" (Launcher and BattlEye are expecting that one).
  • Launch game, start playing and wait for the FPS drops or lags to occur
  • Then. press together {L SHIFT} + {NUM -} (NUM Minus) and release them - Help
  • Then just type "frame" (as with any other cheat mentioned in the Help)
  • Should a dialogue stating it was successful appear, select "COPY ALL" (third button at the bottom row).
  • Data should be copied to clip board so paste them (CTRL+V) anywhere you want (e.g. create a new txt file on desktop and paste the info there)

Once you have those files, please upload them here (or, if you encounter any trouble with that, to some free file sharing service and post the link here).

Thank you very much

Here. I have do it 2 times, both are in this txt file.

Sorry for the long waiting and thanks for helping.

Hello,

thank you for that capture. Could you please look for RPT file that was generated during the session where you captured the Frame? It would help us a lot. If you do not know which one it might be and wish to provide it, you can try to perform the capture frame again and provide both the files (the more we have the better :))

Thanks
