Dayz 0.60 alpha coverage render bug
New, NormalPublic

Description

Seems that activating any 'Alpha Coverage' profile renders white lines on vegetation and also artifacts on trees.

The only way to fix this is to disable the Alpha Coverage option but this results in basic rendering.

Hello JOHN007
Thank you for your report. Can you please add some screenshots? It would help us to better understand your problem. Thank you

Forkys

Hello I apologize for the late reply.

Here are the requested screenshots regarding the artifacts on vegetation. As you can see its completely unplayable with Alpha Coverage activated at the moment.

Thankyou for your time.

Note this bug does not occur at night time.

I'm sure its only when sun light hits the vegetation, this bug occurs?

Any updates ?

I got the same issue. Have had it in previous DayZ versions as well but now I can't fix it by forcing AA through my AMD GPU settings.

It does affect at night. Just harder to spot. I just made some screenshots. It has a lot to do with cloud rendering and the skybox. The pixels are always the color of the skybox(without clouds)

There are also more issues with this. Look at my screenshots(edited for visibility)

This is an issue that has been happening seemingly only on AMD cards. Unless someone else can verify it happening with NVIDIA. I have made posts about it in the past.

Turning on Anti Aliasing up to the max makes this issue a lot less pronounced, as the 'blue pixels' (skybox)and the 'dark green' (tree) pixels merge together a lot more.

EDIT: That white thing is the moon and it appears to be part of the skybox. Even when I couldn't see the moon because of the clouds. I could still see it when lloking at it through thin objects(that were affected by Alpha to Coverage)

EDIT2: download the file if you want to zoom in further!

It also happens with 'crack' textures from roads

You can see the moon shinign through it quite easily, but if you look carefully, also the rest of the skybox pears through.

Still goes on today.

I honestly thought the recent update would have fixed this, but its now even worse, flashing artifacts on all characters now.
