Feature suggestion - Reduce the need for the scroll wheel menu - initiate and cancel actions

Suggesting improvement on the following scroll wheel items and default actions:
EAT
DRINK
SEARCH FOR STONES
SEARCH FOR BERRIES
SEARCH FOR APPLES
FISHING
Other animations involving the scroll wheel

I would like to suggest an improved method of implementing the above actions and others possibly in the future. When initiating actions above, I would suggest the action starts, and does not finish unless cancelled or completed in full. This would reduce the need for extended scroll wheel options (eg. Drink, Drink all; Eat, Eat All)

Examples of the solution below:
Default action with food item in hands - "Eat"
Action: EAT would initiate eating until a) the item has been completely consumed or b)player vomits from being overfed or c)the action is cancelled.
Default action while Eating changes to "Cancel Eating". Items with more volume would require longer or repeated animation sequences.
Solution - Removes the need for the scroll wheel item "EAT ALL"

Default action with Well or drinking item in hands - "Drink"
Action: Drink would initiate drinking until a) the item has been completely consumed or b) player vomits from being overfed or c) the action is cancelled.
Default action while drinking changes to "Cancel Eating". Items with more volume would require longer or repeated animation sequences.
Solution - Removes the need for the scroll wheel item "Drink All", removes need to spam well if player can monitor progress properly.

Default action looking at gravel or beach for "Searching" - Stones
Action: SEARCH would initiate searching until a) the item has been found or b) the action is cancelled.
Default action while searching changes to "Cancel Searching". Items difficult to find would require longer or repeated animation sequences.
Solution - Removes the need for repeated selection of a scroll wheel item "Search"

Default action at a tree or bush for "Searching" - Apples or Berries
Action: SEARCH would initiate searching until a) the item or multiple items has been found or b) the bush or tree is consumed, or c) the action is cancelled.
Default action while searching changes to "Cancel Searching". Items difficult to find would require longer or repeated animation sequences.
Solution - Removes the need for repeated selection of a scroll wheel item "Search". A message such as "The bush is empty"

Default action with rod in hand for "Fishing"
Action: Start Fishing would initiate fishing with continuous status updates until a) the user selects to pull out the hook and bait from the water.
Default action while fishing changes to "Pull out". Player would continue with the repeated monitoring animation sequences until hook is pulled out.
Solution - Removes the need for repeated selection of a scroll wheel item "Check the bait". Continuous status messages would indicate no fish once the fishing hole is compromised.
