Other peoples footsteps sometimes cannot be heard. It's very similar to the gunshots being heard by some people and not others.

2 of us yesterday standing next to each other, 1 guy could hear footsteps clearly, the other not. Literally in same position with similar setup (not lack of hearing, just footsteps not coming through)

I have spoken to a few friends who have experienced this too since the latest build
