Consolidation of all "MTP" textures to one saturation and value level
New, NormalPublic

Description

This is a request to have all weapons, uniforms, and equipment bearing the camouflage designation "MTP" to have their saturation and value levels set to the same number. Some of the said equipment/uniforms/weapons have different saturation and value [see attachments below], giving a conflicting effect in both the camouflage effectiveness and appearance of soldiers. It is also inaccurate, as only some of the equipment actually bears resemblance to the OCP camouflage pattern. OCP is different from Multicam; it is noticeably darker. It tends to work better in Arma (and real life) at varied ranges than Multicam.

I would very highly recommend making all the "MTP" equipment/uniform/weapon textures to be changed to be as similar as possible to the "Kitbag MTP" backpack's texture. This change would significantly improve the ability to blend in in many environments including (but not limited to) Altis, Stratis, and Tanoa.

List of grouped textures:

OCP (what it should be):

  • Kitbag MTP

Multicam:

  • All US Combat Fatigue variants (MTP) including "Ghillie Suit [NATO]"
  • "Carrier Special Rig (MTP)"
  • All "MTP" dismantled weapon and tripod backpacks
  • "Cap (US MTP)"
  • "Tactical Backpack (MTP)"
  • "Military Cap (MTP)"

Washed-Out (Low saturation) Multicam:

  • "Assault Pack (MTP)"
  • "Carryall backpack (MTP)"
  • "Bandana (MTP)"
  • "Booniehat (MTP)"

Open Virtual Arsenal.

Select different combinations of "MTP" equipment.

Test camouflage capabilities on Altis, Stratis, and Tanoa. You will likely find that the "Kitbag MTP" preforms best in all environments at close, medium, and long ranges.
