Logging off with no weapon on me (neither melee nor firearm) placed random item in character's hands.
Here: a paramedic jacket my character had carried in his pants. Said pants (firefighter pants) which should appear on my character's legs don't. Instead, another pair of pants (green scrubs) do.
Occured both times I tried it. Even exiting DayZ and starting the game again didn't fix it.
