Experimental the bad performance.
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

On the first version of 0.60 experimental everything worked perfect! High frame, high performance.
I was streaming as well on the first 0.60 version with very high frames.

But the last version: 0.60 .133258 it's really bad. I cannot even walk normally. The game stutter, lag and very low frames and even the quality hurts my eyes. Normally i can play on normal/high and some settings on very high. But on the last version not even on low.
It doesn't matter what server, doesn't matter where I am. It doesn't matter if I'm recording or not, the performance are the same. At this moment 0.59 runnings bettter then 0.60 and that is strange, because on the first 0.60 version it was immortal perfect!

  • Reinstalled the game
  • Downloaded a new install of steam again
  • Removed the dayz files of documents
  • Removed the launch start options

All dont resolve it.
I made a video of it to show you it.

I also uploaded my Dxdiag file.

Hello,

Could you try updating your hardware drivers and see what happens please? As an example, the time stamp for the HD 4000 drivers in your dxdiag report state that they are from 12/21/2015. Outside of that, the HD4000 is the minimum requirement for graphics cards when running DayZ (http://store.steampowered.com/app/221100/), so we cannot guarantee that you'll have a super smooth experience when playing DayZ.

JStewart

Hello, JStewart,

Im not using the HD4000 for dayz, only the OBS does. For dayz im using the GeForce GT 635M 2gb.

And i had like 60/80 frames while streaming on the first 0.60 patch with Everything on normal and high.

Are you sure that your system is configured correctly? I see basically no info on your GT 635M in your dxdiag report (other than where the driver files are located). Can you confirm the date for the last update of the drivers for your 635M? Aside from that, the benchmark numbers for the GT 635M are only slightly higher than those for the HD 4000 so I still would not expect blistering performance in DayZ.

Yes I'm sure about the settings. Maybe the Dxdiag don't show the Geforce, because when im leaving a game the HD4000 turn automatic on even when i Alt-Tab. So the dxdiag wont show the GT.
But that's the dxdiag. I can even show you video's that im streaming on the first 0.60 version with 60/80 frames. I was playing, streaming, recording at the same moment. It was perfect, same setup and settings as this moment..

But now i'm stuck with this, so something has to been changed inside the last version of the 0.60
Have any idea?

btw about the date of the drivers:

Geforce last: 23-03-2016

HD4000: 21-12-2015 (but this card doenst do something with the game).

We'll check and see, but internally we haven't seen major dips in client performance and it does not seem to be a global issue either across the part of the player base testing 0.60 at the moment.

He JSteward,

Thanks for all the answers, i just fixed it. I removed again the files of dayz on "my documents" and and added and removed the launch options and everything is fine again. I can record and stream with fps arround the 50 now. I'm happy!

Thanks
