Hello,

Steam client failed to publish the items and returned error 2, which means "generic failure".

Could you please send me Steam logs (they are usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\logs) co we could investigate? For now, I can only advise you to try it again later, sorry :(.

Launched publisher v1.5

Sorry,
the only thing in the Steam logs is what we already know:

`[2016-05-27 18:34:39] [AppID 107410] Create new workshop item for AppID 107410 : 691991238 (OK)
[2016-05-27 18:34:40] [AppID 107410] Update starting for workshop item 691991238 by AppID 107410
[2016-05-27 18:34:42] [AppID 107410] Upload workshop item failed, failed build workshop depot 107410
`

Would it be possible for you to try to publish the item from a different PC or better yet, from a different location? Also does it happen for any item you try to publish / update or all of them?

BisWizard, I have been getting the same error since the 1.60 update.
Start of uploading an addon: https://gyazo.com/9d2f8f89ea6e26b24918e9eadf2730ca
As soon as it tries to publish the content: https://gyazo.com/787a83b9dd3f0394ae44f0845557e9c2

I have tried just about everything. I have tried uninstalling, moved to the dev-branch, verified, moved to a different folder, changed the visibility and even tried tons of different mods to see if things would change.
I did notice that when I verified on both the dev-branch and stable, the publisher reacquired 1 file, but had no effect.

I do hope I have provided you with enough information and that you guys will have a fix up soon.

Hi Remix26,
in your case it Steam returns code 9: "FileNotFound - file was not found", but upon examining logs I don't have an idea why is that. Could you please try to create a temporary folder "TempABC" on C: drive and set it in the Publisher Options, then restart Publisher and try to Publish a single file?

The main pack that I'm trying to upload seems to be the cause of the error and I'm not sure why. When I did the temp folder, the other addons uploaded just fine. Is their a limit on the sizes of addons now? The reason I'm asking is because I've never had a problem with uploading these addons before.

Hello,
we have set no limit and I'm not aware of any such limitation imposed by Valve.

But could you please try to switch your Steam Client to a beta branch (it can be done from Steam Settings), Valve might have just fixed the issue. Unfortunately we have no idea what the issue was, so you'll have to try it yourself :/
