I was just thinking of this. Would be a cool feature to have a meteor crash onto the surface during a mission. You'd need some king of alert or cutscene so as not to miss it though.

Interesting idea. Obviously should be very very rare, but meteorite impacts on Mars are relatively common. On Earth they occur daily, but most burn up in the atmosphere.

I agree should be very rare but would be interesting too see it from a rover perspective. Not sure it was worth a mention but I don't even think since the rovers have been on mars this has happened or not & be caught on camera & were not talking a huge one sumtin really small.
