Whenever I close the game my screen goes like this. Solution is to switch users and log back in. I had to use a camera because screen shot would not work.

Oh wow, that is not nice. Could you please let me know which resolution you use on the desktop, and whether you have set that up in the game as well? Also, please write your system configuration (graphics card and so on)

Running it on a laptop if that is enough info :) could provide with a dxdiag if that's not revealing confidential info for the masses (it reveals a LOT of info, and I am not sure of 60% of that info)

Well I had exactly the same issue on my Fujitsu Lifebook, the issue seems to be related to Windows Aero theme. If it is set to windows 7 basic or something that is not transparent it seems to work fine.
Could you please try if that works?

I can right away tell you that it is most probably off. You are speaking of the thing that makes transparency in the taskbar and around borders inside windows? My laptop is pretty much set to as little fancy pants from windows as I can bare.
