The truck inventory will show up in your vicinity even when you're far away enough not to be able to put an item into the truck.

Steps To Reproduce

Walk slowly up to the trucks side with your inventory open (start this from 5-10 meters away) up until the truck inventory shows.

Try to put an item in.

---If you didn't get too close, you will be able to see the truck inventory yet not be able to place items in.
