Barrel Persistency not working
Reviewed, WishlistPublic

Description

I had 3 barrels on [ATL] 3-21 and 2 on [ATL] 3-119 by Vilayer and the barrels got wiped even before server maintenance today. They we're wiped yesterday on 3-119 and last Tuesday on 3-21. Unless these servers don't have persistency then I don't think persistency is working for these world containers. I have interacted with them each week so the persistency should refresh for another 7 days unless I'm not understanding persistency correctly. From what I understood from 29 July status report the persistency of barrels was 45 days and refresh lasted 7. Is anyone else reporting this issue or do you think it's a server specific issue?

Hi Basy40,

Thanks for sending across your server info. We'll have a look at the Vilayer servers and see if it is indeed specific for their servers.

Could you explain how the 45 and 7 day persistency works? If I set down and barrel and don't interact with it, is it persistent for 45 days? Does the persistency switch to 7 days as soon as I interact with it? Kind of confused on this. Please enlighten me

The note in the Status Report (http://dayz.com/blog/status-report-15-sept-15) reads:

  • Base Objects (Tents, Ammo Canisters, Protector Cases, Barrels, Vehicles) have a 45 day lifetime. This will eventually move to 7 days once systems are in place for intuitive lifetime refresh.

So, right now the lifetime is 45 days.
