I placed a shirt down to switch into another and the shirt and all content inside shirt just despawned or disappeared.
The same thing happened the follow day, but instead I placed a truck battery down on the ground and it despawned as well.
.58 is supposed to be persistent but loot is disappearing to no where.
Place item on solid ground wait for it to disappear.
It is the item cleanup, it occurs to fast on many items. Had the same issue when trying to gather firewood
oh this could be if the item that is dropped is ruined. I remember that ruined pants i wanted to swap with some good ones disappeared as well as the content.
