re downloaded dayz after a pc issue. start the game and try to get into a server and i get session lost. i have then validate the local files in steam and everytime it keeps downloading a file, sometimes 2mb or once it downloaded 779mb. i keep validating the files so it says all up to date. i start the game try to join a server and keep getting session lost. i then go back to steam and try to validate the files again. i then get 1 file which is 35.6 mb. i literally then would keep validating my files and it will just keep downloading the same file size 35.6mb. I have re installed the game numerous times and reinstalled battleye. I have norton anti virus but i have made sure that the firewall lets steam, dayz and battleye through. wierd thing is last night i had it happen a few times but i managed to get back in. when i played tonight the first server was fine but now it does it evertime. I have reinstalled my gpu drivers, changed the settings on my router to make my pc a dmz. the file that comes up is- wrong signature for file addons\anims_anm_player.pbo. its doing my nut in!!!

Hello,
Sorry to hear about your trouble.
Something definitely seems to be weird on your system. Could you try out the following steps please? Please be aware; you might have to reinstall your other Steam games afterwards:
- Move the entire "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps" folder to your desktop. Your "SteamApps" folder should now be at the following location: "C:\Users\<username>\Desktop\SteamApps".
- Move the "DayZ" folder out of the "C:\Users\<username>\Desktop\SteamApps\common" folder and subsequently delete the "DayZ" folder.
- Uninstall Steam while making sure the "SteamApps" folder is still on your desktop.
- Install a new version of Steam.
- Go to the new "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps" folder.
- Move everything inside the old "SteamApps" folder on your desktop to the new "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps" folder.
- Install DayZ again.
In case this does not solve your problem either, I can have a look at your account in the character database if you send me a link for your Steam Profile ID.
Regards,
JStewart
so i have followed your instructions and it hasn't solved the problem. Just keep getting session lost!!
Do you by any chance have a link to your Steam Profile? Then I can check your account in the database as mentioned.
what do you need? my name or more info? I did manage to play last night. it worked for a few servers then i got session lost again why i tried to change server. i changed my nat setting on my router to full cone open??
If the problem is intermittent, then it looks like it's something local on your system that is "disrupting" your connection to the servers.
I'll gladly check your account as mentioned just to be sure. When you log on to your Steam account in your browser and go to "View profile", then you can copy the url from the address field in the browser and paste it in here.
I couldn't find any "corrupted" data on any of your characters. Have you tried un-installing both DayZ as well as Steam in order to have a completely fresh start?
That is doubtful. If it was a BE issue, we would see many more reports since it would be trending towards a global issue. Is DayZ installed at several locations on your pc for some reason?
in what respect? different folders or computers? I am getting issues with arma 3 as well. i kee getting kicked from the game, then i validate the files again and it keeps finding files. it downloaded a 1.8gb file last night!!
ive had alot of problems with my router recently, im wondering if it is causing a problem or its a problem with steam
If you just did a fresh install and immediately afterwards verify the game cache, does it still download files?
The next time you get the error message for the addons\anims_anm_player.pbo file, please try manually deleting it, then verify the the game cache and see if that helps.
Have you tried installing DayZ on a different pc with your account? The reason for asking is that I have not been able to reproduce the issue (I haven't experienced that before either).
it works fine on my laptop, i can log in and out of servers at will with no problems at all.
yes, same router provider and anti virus. it worked last night for about 30 mins then i got the bsod memory management, i then played the game again for about 20 mins then got another bsod bad caller pool???
i think its my computer.
so i uninstalled my games library and steam and reinstalled on a new ssd. I keep getting the same problem. Had session lost again then verified the game cache and it downloaded 824mb when i close the game i keep getting an application error saying it cant write to the memory
Thanks. Do you have a screenshot of the error message regarding the inability to "write to the memory"?
i will get one for you this evening. its always starts 0x000000_______
then loads more numbers. The numbers that follow the zeros always change.
Thanks
Happy to hear :)
In case you encounter any further problems, please feel free to submit a new ticket.
