I am having the same problem aswell. Crash to BSOD machine_check_exception. Can't play DayZ at all. Running Arma 2 and Arma 3 with out issue.
Hello SlightlyInsane,
To begin with, could you provide us with a dxdiag report and crash dumps please?
Getting your DxDiag file:
- Open the Start menu
- Write "dxdiag"
- Press enter
- A window will open
- Click "Save all information"
- You will get a text file - that's what we need
Getting your crash dumps:
- Launch Steam.
- Right click on DayZ.
- Go to "Properties".
- Go to "Set Launch Options".
- Type in "-dologs" (without quotation marks).
- Click ok and launch DayZ.
- Reproduce the crash.
- Go to this file location: "C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local"
- There you should see a DayZ folder.
- Create a .zip or .rar file of that folder.
Then take the .zip/.rar and the DxDiag file and upload them to your ticket. The upload limit is 5000KB, which should be enough. In case it is not, please upload the files to a file sharing website and post a link to the files in the comments.
Thanks,
JStewart
I am running into the exact same problem on a new gaming laptop when running DayZ. All other games run fine, but I receive the MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION BSOD after either changing settings or playing for between 1-5 minutes. Problem persists after clean upgrade to Windows 10. Dxdiag and log upload in progress.
