Hi mccomase,
Sorry to hear about your trouble. If you send me a link to your Steam profile, I'll check if the problem is related to your account. Example: "http://steamcommunity.com/id/xxxxxxxxxx/"
Thanks,
JStewart
Thanks for sending in your account information. I checked your account/characters, but nothing seems out of place in the database. I would suggest that you try out the steps below.
Please be aware though; you might have to reinstall your other Steam games afterwards:
- Move the entire "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps" folder to your desktop. Your "SteamApps" folder should now be at the following location: "C:\Users\<username>\Desktop\SteamApps".
- Move the "DayZ" folder out of the "C:\Users\<username>\Desktop\SteamApps\common" folder and subsequently delete the "DayZ" folder.
- Uninstall Steam while making sure the "SteamApps" folder is still on your desktop.
- Install a new version of Steam.
- Go to the new "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps" folder.
- Move everything inside the old "SteamApps" folder on your desktop to the new "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps" folder.
- Install DayZ again.

JStewart
Thank you it doesnt kick me out of servers now, but i have another problem i cant play because of the lag
I don't think its the connection....i can play any other game just fine.....i believe its performance related
Alright, that is due to DayZ not being fully optimized yet since we're still deep into development. Until DayZ gets optimized, please have a look at the following forum topic which might give a couple of tips in regards to increasing your ingame performance: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/224710-performance-issues/
