This is only a rough feature request (Apologies if requested before or this is the improper place to request).
I would like to see the indoor wood cook stoves that are commonly found in nearly any building to become operational if loaded with wood/sticks, perhaps a rag/paper, and a match or wood drill to start it.
Functionality should be similar to a gas cook stove when it comes to cooking, as well as giving off heat. Once the rain/wind is fixed and provides a larger threat, as well as night, these could be invaluable and could/should change gameplay dramatically. (Imagine a small group having to bunker down in a house because of a storm outside. Meanwhile smoke is visible, light is visible, so they can be detected. But this at least gives them a place to dry off and warm up when they can't survive longer outdoors for lack of proper clothing/gear etc).
Same should go for all or most of the woodpiles located in the towns. Currently it's a little immersion breaking to chop down a tree while standing next to a pile of wood or chopping block. In theory they could be operated similarly to an apple tree...
"I have found something!"
"This wood is rotten"
"This wood is ruined"
"This wood is wet"
etc.
This would help increase immersion dramatically, and once the weather is a larger threat, it would make gameplay more interesting.
