Every time I try joining a server it almost instantly goes SESSION LOST. I been searching around internet for hours. I've tried Re downloading, Verifying game cache and bunch of other things. I went to different websites how to fix but still nothing. No clue how to fix this. One time I read that I have to delete some kind of (something).dll file. In that post it said it will reinstall it automatically and fix the problem but it didn't and when I tried joining server is said failed to initialize battleye so I verified game cache and it fixed it but I was still getting session lost after this. The last thing is that their been some problems with my account. Someone blocked it saying to steam support that its their account. Because of this the real owner had to prove that he was the owner in some way. I sent the prove but steam didn't seem to do shit about it and because of this I have some of my abilities on my account blocked like trading and bunch of other things but it did not say I could not play any games. Every other game works fine like arma with multiplayer too so I could easily play it. But with dayz it's different for some reason. Thanks for reading. I really hope that you will support me and help start playing dayz again.

I have no Idea how it happened. The only thing is that I didn't play for sometime and when I came back it said session lost.

Sorry to hear about your trouble. Does this happen regardless of which type of server you try to connect to?

If you send in a link to your Steam profile, I can check if the problem is related to your account in the database.

I checked your account and all seems good. Please try the following steps:

  1. Manually delete the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DayZ\Addons" folder.
  2. Uninstall DayZ and Steam.
  3. Manually delete the "C:\Users\<username>\Documents\DayZ" and the "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\DayZ" folders.
  4. Reinstall DayZ and Steam.
  5. Launch DayZ and see if you can connect to the game servers.

I followed all these steps and still session lost. I still cant play.

Alright, here are a couple more steps towards a possible solution. Please be aware though; you might have to reinstall your other Steam games afterwards:

  1. Move the entire "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps" folder to your desktop. Your "SteamApps" folder should now be at the following location: "C:\Users\<username>\Desktop\SteamApps".
  2. Move the "DayZ" folder out of the "C:\Users\<username>\Desktop\SteamApps\common" folder and subsequently delete the "DayZ" folder.
  3. Uninstall Steam while making sure the "SteamApps" folder is still on your desktop.
  4. Install a new version of Steam.
  5. Go to the new "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps" folder.
  6. Move everything inside the old "SteamApps" folder on your desktop to the new "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps" folder.
  7. Install DayZ again.
