I disconnect from every server when first joining
Need More Info, WishlistPublic

Description

Since 0.55 launched and patched my client, I disconnect from the server within roughly one minute of joining each server. I log onto a server and have control of my character for a few seconds before my connection drops from the server and I get "No message received for __ seconds." then I will see the status "Player ___ is losing connection." in the log. Then I seemingly reconnect to the server and do not have further issues until I try to connect to another server.

I have attempted to fix this issue myself over the past week since I cannot find anyone else reporting a similar issue. I have tried reinstalling the game multiple times, reinstalling BattlEye on its own, updating video card and multiple other drivers, multiple router solutions and nothing seems to be able to fix the issue.

This issue happens on both of my steam accounts which own DayZ and yet does not happen when I use these accounts on any second computer connected to my network. I do not believe it is a router issue as it happens on any connection I use, ethernet or wireless or connecting directly to the modem.

I realize the issue appears to be on my end but I was hoping for any insight on possibly fixing the issue as it has arisen since 0.55 and I am simply at a loss and my frustration grows because I'm on occasion losing characters simply because I'm disconnecting at inopportune times.

Any assistance in ideas to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated. If video of the disconnects happening is somehow helpful, I would be able to upload one as well.

My steamID on my main account is: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198014074613

Hi chrit,

Sorry to hear about your trouble.

As you mention, it's a local issue which makes it quite difficult to pinpoint a specific culprit. Do you have different security settings (firewall/antivirus for example) on the pc where the connection issues occur? Do you have any specific software running in the background which might eat up a lot of your bandwidth?

Regards,
JStewart

The issue continues to happen even with anti-virus/firewall protection disabled and with no other applications running in the background besides Steam.

Last night, I did find a user with the same issue who was able to fix the issue by editing the dayz.cfg file to adjust packet size to 1600 but this solution did not fix my issue either.
