Memory leak causes DayZ to crash!
New, WishlistPublic

Description

I've been playing DayZ for about 2 weeks now and every time I join a server and play for about 1-2 hours I get a windows error saying that my memory is low and that I need to close DayZ. While looking in my task manager I can see a noticeable increase in memory usage over time while playing DayZ. Please help I can't play or stream DayZ until this gets fixed :/. {F31411}

How much ram do you have? I've experienced the same thing but I've never gotten any errors or crashing.

8GB RAM GTX760 4GB

I've got 16GB of RAM, GTX 970 4GB. I've got pretty much the same issues. It completely sucks out my free memory and puts it into standby. I'm trying to get mine to crash and produce a dump log, but mine refuses to. It just stutters terribly. Do you know how yours crashes or does it just happen?

If I just ignore the low memory warning it will freeze after playing for 15-30mins. I get an error message saying my system is out of memory. I will either be able to close it through task manager or I will have to reboot my PC completely. While streaming with OBS both DayZ and OBS will crash immediately after I get a low memory warning.

I don't know how to download the attached file, but I'm guessing you've included the dump logs from the crashes?

I sent the file containing what should be the crash logs but looking now I don't see the file...

Will I ever get this fixed or am I cursed with the memory leak?

I can't comment on that as I'm not a dev, but there are always new tests we can try. Do you have Shadowplay?
