I have played dayz before on the same computer, I have tried to download the C++ package on my computer on both x64 and x86 versions, I have restarted my PC, I have ran as admin, I have verified.

Additional Information

So I went to my game files, clicked on DayZ and right clicked the executable and troubleshooted. It worked but once I exited the game, It happens again. So I deleted it the next day and tried to run it, but the same error happened and I don't have anything in my DayZ folder other than a 'net' text file. I really need to play DayZ would appreciate a quick resolution.
Thanks

I need a fix please.

I have had this exact same problem for weeks now and there is still no solid answer to fix it its driving me crazy

It only started to happen when i got the 0.54 update

Yeah I know. I found a fix. First try verifying your cache. Then go SteamApps/common/Dayz/_CommonRedist/ there are two folders there each with executables. Run them all and select repair. Restart steam and try to launch. If that doesnt work, go to to SteamApps/common/Dayz/ and then right click Dayz.exe and DayZ_BE.exe and go to the compatibility tab, check the run as admin for both and click the trouble shoot button. This is what worked for me. But im sure if I restart my PC, it'll happen again. It seems like with every update, comes more issues.

Hi Frosticious,

Sorry to hear about your trouble. Since you mention that you found a fix for the problem, I'll close the ticket, but if you run into any other issues, feel free to submit another ticket.

Thanks,
JStewart
