Hi, i relogged back in and my character was under the floor and i get out. Also my sawed off shotgun that was in my backpack ( not in my hands ) and drop on the floor. I'm on a public server called SAUS and was in/near the town of Myshkino.

I got out of the house, but the method in the video didn't work. every time I hit the esc button while holding w I stopped walking/running. I read in the comment section that switching weapons while walking and hitting the esc button and logging off works instead.

Yes, the method you described is probably even better as your character automatically continues walking when you switch weapons.
