After turning on the FPS counter in steam, I noticed something _really_ strange.
I was checking the player list and saw an increase of 10 FPS (!). Usually I get around 30-40 FPS near small villages and 20-30 FPS in the larger cities in my setup. Pressing P gives a boost of 10 FPS.
I suspect the camera controls need to be optimized badly, since they are disabled when the player list is open. A 10 FPS increase just because of the camera controls is kind of horrid :P
