Have you been getting any BSOD? I am dealing with a friends system doing same thing, shuts down. I have narrowed it to a bad motherboard. Since your system is so new you might have a bad component. Do a memtest to see if your ram is causing an error. Also monitor your CPU temp, if it is getting too high for some reason your system will auto shut down.
i can play every other game fine and my comp meets the requirements only for this one game has this happend and im pretty sure its not a temp problem cause i can turn my pc back on right away with no problems and my pc doesnot feel warm at all so at this point i think it is dayz
and no i have no bsod every game works fine just dayz it might be my cpu over heating i have no idea
I am having this issue also, I had this crash a long time ago and the fix was to disable steam overlay, but now the issue has come back!
Hello deadeye980,
Sorry to hear about your trouble.
Please try to perform the following steps please:
- Delete the folder "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\DayZ"
- Launch DayZ and reproduce the issue.
- Create a .zip or .rar archive of the newly created "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\DayZ" folder.
- Attach the archive to this ticket please.
Thanks,
JStewart
If you have a 2nd monitor just run Hardware Monitor on it and watch the CPU temp while playing. Since it is a dual core I would guess it is pushing quite high so it could be overheating.
