Sorry to hear about your trouble. Is it all of your character that start punching when logging in, or is it only a specific character?

If it is a specific character, please provide server information for that character.

What I meant was, is it all of your characters that behave like this (you have a total of 11 unique characters across both public and private servers)? If it is only one of these characters that keep punching automatically, could you give us the server information where you log on with this character please?

it was on a public server this shit happend to me...

but its on all servers i go in to ... if i go private server its still doing that -.- Please fix it !!

I can confirm that the same bug is happening to me also.I created this account so that i can report it, just because it is so annoying.It happens with the axe and pretty much with all melee.Also it sometimes happens with automatic guns-rifles.Its happening to me since 0.53 and still today.I can make it stop by pressing the left click on the mouse or with spacebar(sometimes works) but when u ve got an automatic in your hands you cant do anything to stop it.

I'm not sure exactly what causes this bug, it usually happens to me when I take something out and very quickly try to attack with it (ie an axe or some sort of melee weapon). dropping whats in my hands or switching items won't stop it but if I bring up my steam overlay it immediately stops. At the very least there's a quick fix for ya :)

For the record this has been happening to me with semi random frequency since .51

Yesi t is in, you must create a keybind for it though. Go to controls -> Interaction and set up one.

Now i got fuckin bug dead withm y full m4 attached i was in for 2 days to fix it ... and now i just died??? i need my gear back now please fix it i want it back roll back me... ! :(

I was driving around in a truck with my full op gear and from nowhere i just randomly flew up with the truck and died after that????!??!?!? Please i want my gear back it took me 2 dayz to fix that gear !!

Forget about that gear, start over...

hahah i wont forget it bro ... that gear i had was waste of 2 days so i defnetly need them back :) ! its waste of time if i dont get it back!

You will find other, even better gear next time...rule #1 in DayZ: don't get attached to your gear or character.

and the truck bug is still reported and has nothing to do with the problem you had.
The Information if your problem is resolved by the parameters above would be much more appropriated and appreciated.

So just to confirm, since you managed to get into a truck and move around and such, did you get rid of the perma-punch issue?

no... when i was in logged 3 days ago it had stopped with the punches..

i have a feeling of it will comin back
