Sorry to hear about your trouble. Please try out the following steps (make sure that DayZ is not running):

1. Hold down your Windows key and press R.
2. Type in "cmd" (without quotation marks) and hit Enter.
3. Type in "netsh winsock reset" (without quotation marks) in the command window and hit Enter.
4. Launch DayZ and try to refresh the server list.

I had the same Issue and helped when entering the game for the first time. However when I try to connect to a server which is for e.g down or some other reason I can´t connect ( getting the error message unable to establish connection or connection failed) I am unable to join any other server. If I then click on refresh no server comes up anymore for about 3-5 minutes. After that time slowly one by one server gets displayed again.
