Since updating to the version 0.53 I have been unable to launch DayZ. I click DayZ, it shows the message "Starting DayZ" then that message disappears and nothing happens. When I try and start DayZ.exe in steamapps it comes up with the error "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." The DayZ file does not have the DayZ icon next to it unlike DayZ_BE.exe. I have stopped AVG from running and stopped Windows Defender from running. I have checked the permissions of the Steam folder and all Admins and Users have full control. When I click DayZ_BE.exe nothing happens. If I verifiy the game cache it says 1 file failed to verify and will be downloaded, it then replaces the DayZ.exe with another DayZ.exe of the same type which also doesn't work. It seems like there are permissions that are preventing Steam from updating that file. I have been sent the DayZ.exe that my friend has and tried to overwrite my current DayZ.exe but an error appears saying I need permission from my user account, but I am currently using my user account and have all permissions.
