Character reset after installing 0.53

Description

Character was reset after 0.53 patch. Should this be done? (if i remember correctly last patch do same, but next day it works like before. So, should i be wait or accept this behaviour?

This character wipe for the public hive chars was announced. So the answer is a simple "yes, get over it". :)

Yes, the public hive was reset (not affecting private shards) with the 0.53 update: http://dayz.com/blog/status-report-week-of-19-jan-15
