i would find it cool if there are not just small sparrows, but in towns or camps, where many people have died and were (hence, too, the cars and garbage mountains) or many zombies, you would not hear sparrows, but ravens or crows. This would enhance the atmosphere (Horror) and make realistic. In addition, one would probably behave unconsciously careful there.
