Problem with compatibility of Battleye "32bit & 64bit"
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When i start dayz this pops up:

"The program or feature "/??/C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/DayZ/DayZ.exe" cannot start or run due to incompatibity with 64-bit versions of windows. Please contact the software vendro to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is avaiable.

And yes, the error message says "incompatibity"...
I tried running it in compatibility mode and as Administrator, but that didn't help. Anyone else get this/have a solution?

Thanks!

Hi luiscano95,

Sorry to hear about your trouble. You mention BattlEye in the summary. Do you receive the error message from Windows/BE/DayZ? Also, would it be possible for you to attach a screenshot of the error message please?

Thanks,
JStewart

Hi JStewart, i just uploaded the file, there are 2 other images i wanted to show but it only lets me set 1 file, if you can give me any email i can send them to you so you can see the problem, my pc is beast, is a very good one, there shouldn be any problem, i hope we can do something about it, thanks alot!

Thanks for sending in your screenshot. For now, try verifying the integrity of the game cache:

  1. Start Steam and right click on DayZ in your game library (make sure that the game is not running).
  2. Select the tab labeled "Local Files".
  3. Click on the button labeled "Verify integrity of game cache...".
  4. Start DayZ once the process is complete.
