So with the recent addition of the Gas Canister to contain fuel its so large that it must be held in your hands or stuffed into a Mountain Backpack taking up al the space, which makes sense and adds balance. What I would like to see is the ability to make a harness out of rope and or similar items that would allow me to attach it to my backpack or side or across my chest to free up my hands to climb a ladder to escape the horde or raise an ax to ward off a hungry cannibal. Same goes for a gun so i don't have to drop what im holding just move it out of the way.

Balance would be needing to craft larger harnesses out of rarer material to hold bigger things. The harnesses condition would eventually deteriorate and break thus making the item fall to the ground creating a sound, spilling the gas, damaging the falling item, and giving out your location to the local infected.
