Cannot connect to servers after receiving "No Message Received" error

Description

Please read further, this is not like the other "No Message Received" errors.

Out of the blue, I would get "No Message Received", so I exit to the menu and try to join another server, but then it tells me that it could not connect.

It won't connect to any servers, even though when I Alt-Tab out, I can go on any website and my internet works.

I have to go out of the game completely before it would connect to a server again, no matter how long I wait.

Steps To Reproduce

Join any server, play for 5-10 mins, get "No Message Received" error. Exit to Menu, click on Change Server, double click any server. Game says "Trying to connect". Error Message: "Could not connect". Try other servers, same thing.

Test internet by going on websites, it works. Go back into game and try another server. Same "Could not Connect" error.

Quit Game to windows. Launch Game again, connect to server, Game connects. Sometimes it loses connection again and the whole process starts over again.

Hello irjayjay,

To begin with I would recommend that you try to verify the integrity of the game cache:

  1. Start Steam and right click on DayZ in your game library (make sure that the game is not running).
  2. Select the tab labeled "Local Files".
  3. Click on the button labeled "Verify integrity of game cache...".
  4. Start DayZ once the process is complete.

If this does not solve the problem, then try upgrading to the experimental version and subsequently downgrade to the stable version.
