This happen actually to the latest Stable version
When you join a server you sometimes(and often) get kind of stuck, u can't do any action (can't move, can't escape menu, can't see inventory ...)
The only issue is to shut down the game with the task manager.
And maybe next login u hope to not get it again.
And sometimes, shut down the game like this make you loose all your game settings.
