zombie detection,melee weapon hit,spawning in range of zombies

Description

I have played the stable and now on the experimental version. I feel the zombies AI needs to be tweeked a bit.

ISSUES:
1.Zombies detecting me from A ways a way before i even see them im being chased,
just seems to me the zombies seem to have a crazy amount of detection range.
2.melee weapons not hitting zombies i found as of right now its better off to just fist fight them.
3.There has been a few times i have spawned having to run or fight zombies.

no major steps where taken to find these issues just game play.

I have how ever chosen diffrent melee weapons to try and fight the zombies keep coming up with the same affect

spawning in zombies radius i feel should be looked in to

Additional Information

Also i was thinking for an update in zombie AI the ability to hide from zombies and they loose intrest and move on. Just a thought. I have spent more time running hiding and fighting zombies then anything else.
