I've heard you guys plan to do a character wipe when you bring out .49 to remove all the hacked in gear, is that correct?
Wasn't the whole purpose of the server-side inventory to avoid these kinds of things from happening?
And more importantly: if everything is server-sided why can't you just remove what is not supposed to be there instead of literally giving ALL the players, pardon my french, the finger who have been gearing up in hard efforts?
I know it's an Alpha and yadda yadda yadda.. but seriously, this is starting to get old. Of course a full wipe is the easier way for you guys - but it's not easy for us to spend hours/days gearing up. And we are the paying customers, Alpha or not. I expect you guys put more of an effort to do it right instead of taking the easy way out.
On the regular hive I've got a Mosin with a bipod on it. I never play regular because I don't like 3rd person. But still that item is almost unique now. Wouldn't it be amazing if things like that would be preserved? Isn't it realistic that even though it is not a common item it does exist? Isn't something like that worth preserving, maybe even to implement such exceptions into the game officially? Rare, almost unique items would be really nice.
Just saying. I'm not gonna whine about losing it. But it does have value.
