So, this has happened to me quite a few times but this is my first time reporting it. After today's update, I decided to play some. After joining my regular server on my regular character, in Vybor at this point, I checked the player list to find out that only 3 other people were in the server. Knowing that the servers are hived, i decided to switch servers. I joined another official server and when I loaded in I was a newspawn. I immediately logged out. Just thinking it was the database, I went and found my regular server again and joined it. Upon joining it, I found myself on the freshspawn character. I tried a few other servers to no avail. This character, believe it or not, has been alive since April and I would REALLY like to keep it somehow. IF anyone has a fix for it, please post it below.

It happened to me too; clearly some sort of bug. I started out fresh and ran around, got a gun and logged out; I logged back in i had my new character with all his loot. (old one is gone).
Seems that it happens if you join experimental having a character on stable (they share the same version now). Just logging out without doing anything seems to fix that.

Thanks for sending in your information. Can you confirm that it is the correct account? When looking at your characters, I can see that one was created on July 2 (regular) and the other character was created on August 10 (hardcore)?
I know for a fact that this is my account. I also know that my character had to exist because I have a screenshot of the character I lost. It was taken on April 26th and it was on a regular server. I did take a very long break before I started playing again a couple of weeks ago. I also have a video of when I started playing again. I can link you to both the video and the screenshot if you would like.

Same thing is happening to me aswell. 3-4 times just since the 0.48 patch. Also happend to some friends that i play with.
So it is almost at a regular basis now, and that makes the game impossible to play :(
The creation date related to your regular server character could possibly be due to the database migration we had in early july. The only thing I can do for now until the devs find a fix for the problem is to merge this ticket with the main issue regarding character save loss: #78.
