Yes. It starts me as a new character. I've just had my motherboard, processor and graphics card changed. I don't know if that would make a difference.

Had the same issue after the 47 update on stable after spending quite some time without dying. I just took it as normal alpha bugs. And started with a new spawn but this should definitely be looked into further.

I should say that I was able to log in a sky character last night. I logged into another server and it appeared. I hid him in a safe location and logged out and logged in this morning. I got onto the server and it immediately said my leg was in pain and died about 2 seconds later. There was no-one around me. Seems very buggy at the moment.
