I just downloaded dayz today and when I started it up it looked like complete crap l, I looked like a crappy 8 bit game and I don't know what to do about it. I'm going to be very sad if I cannot play the game :( I really don't know what to do I'm wondering if it was just a waste of 30 dollars. Also I can hardly even click on anything my mouse doesn't move the arrow. And everything is so blurry I can't even see what anything says

Hello cowscandougie,
Sorry to hear about your trouble. To begin with, please try the following:
- Start DayZ and enter the Main Menu.
- Click the button labeled "Configure".
- Click the button labeled "Video".
- Click the button labeled "User Interface".
- Select a high resolution from the dropdown menu.
- Select a proper aspect ratio.
Since the button labels might not be legible in your game due to the current User Interface resolution, I have attached a screenshot (UI.jpg) that shows which buttons to click.
After performing these steps, it should be possible for you to select a proper ingame resolution and screen aspect ratio.
As for the cursor that doesn't move; it seems that if you change your Windows font size back to default, the ingame cursor should become responsive again: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Make-the-text-on-your-screen-larger-or-smaller?v=t

It's so bad I can hardly even see the buttons, and I don't really know the specs of my comp. It's a Dell Inspiron 2320 AiO. It runs Garrys mod Minecraft and every other game I've played on it just fine.
Pardon, I didn't get to upload the image that shows which buttons to press. The image (UI.jpg) is now uploaded.
