I'm having the same issues, everytime I start the game it will minimize within a few seconds and I cannot bring the screen back up. It never used to do this, my drivers are all updated and my pc is top notch. I'm running it with 16gb of ram and a 7970ghz ed.

i have just solved mine it was my screen resolotion but still for some resone i will not work when it is not on window mode i will send you a link to some instructions that fixed my problems.

Good to hear that you can launch the game now. When you run the game in fullscreen mode and not windowed mode, you still just get the black screen?

Please try the following:

1. Start the game in windowed mode and go to "Configure" --> "Video".
2. Click the "Default" button and afterwards click on the "User Interface" button.
3. Select your native resolution and aspect ratio in the "User Interface" menu and return to the main menu.
4. Enter the "Video" menu again and select your native screen resolution from the "Rendering Resolution" dropdown menu.
5. Set as many of the video options to the lowest settings (except for the resolution).
6. Launch the game in fullscreen mode and see if you still get a black screen.

I have attached an image that shows the basic layout of the video options (UI.jpg).
