There have been many times where I have needed to bandage myself or eat/drink and have tried to do so. Whether I have something in my hands (an axe or other weapon) I will select the item, a bandage or can of food or a bottle of water, and will select to use it. My character will then attempt to use the item and the corresponding noise will occur but the action will not happen. I will be stuck staring at my currently selected item (Axe or other weapon) and can only turn around. I will not be able to move or access anything else in my inventory. Also, it will keep trying to give me the option of canceling the current action which allows me to access my inventory again but I will not be able to select anything or move. This has happened multiple times on both .46 and .47.

I also had a similar issue. I bandaged myself, pulled out my axe to attack another zombie and was unable to attack after; however, After about a minute my legs became broken when I wasn't under any visible attack.. So I'm thinking the status of my legs may have been what glitched me and made me unable to attack.
edit: this has happened to me in the past under similar circumstances ( and my friends), which is why I felt compelled to share.
edit: I actually think this issue is lag related, as I viewed my ping and it was in the upper 400's
