I just restarted Steam, solved the problem for me

I Did That Still Pops Up With The Message

Hi NavyOzzy2,

Sorry to hear about your trouble. Try closing down Steam and restart it by running it as administrator (Right-click on Steam --> Select "Run as administrator").

If this does not work, please try un-installing and then re-installing Steam.

Regards,

JStewart

I Restarted Steam And Ran It As administrator And Before I Started Dayz I Went To Properties On Dayz And Went To Local Files And Verify Integrity of Game Cache And i Started Dayz Up And It Worked But Now The Quality Is Messed Up Now I Can't Read What It Says But Thanks For Helping Me :)

As you have started the game under a different user account (Administrator) your graphics and control settings will be using a new fresh config file, you'll just need to go through and change them back to your prefered settings in game.

Ok Thank You

Just found this image on another report, you can use it to see which buttons to press if your resolution is so bad that its unreadable.

Thanks for linking to the image Fluxley. I'll just add the steps in text as well.

  1. Start DayZ and enter the Main Menu.
  2. Click the button labeled "Configure".
  3. Click the button labeled "Video".
  4. Click the button labeled "User Interface".
  5. Select a high resolution from the dropdown menu.
  6. Select a proper aspect ratio.

After performing these steps, it should be possible for you to select a proper ingame resolution and screen aspect ratio.

JStewart
