This is a problem the has grown worse of the past week or two. It started with me being able to play for about 30 minutes and then the whole game would freeze and become unresponsive. I am currently unable to log into any server and play for more than 5 minutes before the image on the screen freezes. When it locks up the audio continues, infact I learnt tonight that the game itself is still playing as I was able to control my character and fire my gun. I even managed to shut the game down using key presses but the image remained on my screen until I ctrl-alt-del and end task. Initially I was able to delay this happening by jumping on to a hardcore server however I am now unable to play on any server. I did notice it didnt happen after 20 mins of play on exp but I am yet to explore that further. I have noticed on logging in my desync is very high for the first minute or two of play; any where between 7k and 100k. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, updated gfx drivers and deleted both my config files to refresh them nothing makes any difference.
